Mesopotamia
Location: The author wrote that at first there was no name for the region but later the Greeks named it Mesopotamia , meaning " between the rivers." Also we know that " Mesopotamia was the birthplace of writing , as well as many other inventions and discoveries that changed the world." Modern Iraq is where Mesopotamia used to be located
Architecture: On page 24 the author says "A lasting symbol of ancient mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick. It represented a mountain, stretching from earth to the heavens."
Religion:The author wrote " The sumerians worshipped many gods and goddesses". Also the author said that the sumerians thought that stars travelling across the sky was cows of sin or nanna.This shows how the Mesopotamians believed in many gods and that they are polytheistic.
Art: On page 28 , the text said " The Mesopotamians mastered many technologies and crafts at an early point in their history". The text also said that they had started to mold clay into simple pots by the eighth millennium. They were known for loving pottery , art , and music.
Writing : The author wrote that Mesopotamia writing "Was the earliest writing system developed in ancient Mesopotamia around 3100 BCE."
Government: The author wrote that "Ancient Mesopotamian Government was based on the understanding that human beings were created to help and serve the gods. The high priest, king, assembly of elders, governors, and any other officials were recognized as stewards chosen by the gods to care for the people in the same way a father was expected to care for his family."

Government: In the text it says "he Aryan civilization had a large impact on modern-day India society. For example, one Aryan influence on modern-day India was the development of the caste system. A caste is a social group in which people are born and they cannot change. The caste system began because the Aryans had four social classes, which they called varnas. People were divided based on wealth and occupation.

Religion: In the text it says "The Aryans came from an area of Central Asia near the Caucasus Mountains, moving southeast and eventually taking over the entire Indus Valley by the year 1500 BC. They spoke a language called Sanskrit, which became the basis of many modern South Asian language." The text also said The religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism. Both religions have much in common and share many rituals.
