Location:On page 6 it said that flowing southward through the middle east were two great rivers. The location of mesopotamia was in modern day Iraq as well parts of turkey Syria and Iran. In the book it states that " Mesopotamia included cooler mountainous regions in the north and reed filled wetlands in the southeast- (Steele 6)
Architecture: The architecture is mainly Ziggurats. In the text it says about ziggurats that. They are a terrenced platform made of brick and mud it represents a mountain Stretching.

Religion
The Mesopotamians were polytheistic which means they believed in one or gods. In the text it states that"The sumerians worshiped many gods and goddesses. They believed in many gods here some, Eniki Nintu etc these gods were worshiped alot by the Mesopotamians.

Art: They started learning pottery by the 8 millennium and made statues. The text says" Some time before 3500 BCE they invented the pottery wheel which made pottery production far more efficient. Jewelry started getting crafted by 1300 BCE and started to be worn by wealthy people because it was thought to ward off spirits.

Writing: In old Mesopotamia they wrote in cuneiform. Cuneiform is a way of writing that can be translated to English with the paper we will use.also. It is one of the most used languages in ancient MesoPotamia

Goverment: The early kings ruled over only their own city-states. Lacking a centralized government and leader, the ancient region was prone to internal fighting among the kings for land and resources. As early as the 4th millennium BCE, ancient Mesopotamia covered the region that is now known as Iraq.
Ancient Egypt
Location: Back in old times in Egypt they lived by the Nile River. The nile river is a place were alot of farmers liked to be because of its landscape I know this because it says that. The Nile River was a place every farmer wanted to be because of its ability to grow crops

Writing: In ancient Egypt they wrote not even close to how we do today we write in words they write in symbols let me show you. In the book it says that. The Egyptians wrote in hieroglyphics. It says it in the text there is no explanation to do.

Art: The art in Ancient Egypt was interesting let me show you why it was and how cool it was. On page 56 it says that. Ÿou can see the glint off gold everywhere in ancient egypt.

Government: The government in ancient Egypt is not like ours it is more like the United kingdom let me show you. In the book it says that . In the ancient times they had queens and kings. This shows there type of government.

Religion: Gods and Goddess that they worshiped are far different then the god be believe in. They believe in hundreds of Gods and Goddesses I know this because in the text it says." Back in ancient Egypt they worshiped hundreds of gods!" That is how I know that they worship many different gods and goddesses.

Architecture: When you think of ancient Egypt you most likely think of pyramids but pyramids are not the only type of building they builded let me show you what they built and picture it in your head. In the text it says that."The first temple was built back thousands of years ago. This shows that these temples are most likely there best buildings.

Art: The art in ancient china was mostly made of paintings on bark and some pottery which grew in prices in the later days of ancient china. And gifts of art were loved if they were good by the king but if they aren't they are executed. (Cottrell) 6

Religion: Confucianism is their religion and it is very interesting I will show you why it is so interesting. The founder of confucianism is confucius he wants peace between people and is very inspirational so people worship him.

Architecture tech
Government : The government of ancient china is with a king emperor they had almost all power and were seen as gods and were not that friendly they cut off heads and they did lot of executions. (Cottrell5)
Commerce trading.The trading in Ancient china was interesting because they used a path called the silk road. The reason it is called the silk road is because little catapillars that made silk were lined up near the road, and this spot was very good for trading because it went through africa and Asia.

Location: The location of ancient china Like the name it is in today's china part and is in asia one of the most advanced continents to this day there is a lot of trade in china.
Indus River Valley
Location: Around 5000 years ago A group of people took over the Indus River alluvial plain because of the fertile land a soil. The Indus River valley is now in modern day Pakistan and a bit of afghanistan. In modern 1920 a lot of land mounds and dirt were digged and the archaeologist found the old 4000 year old cities.

Religion: In the Indus River valley they practiced the religion of. Hinduism where you believe in reincarnation due to karma. They believed in this due to the Aryans coming in and sharing their religion.

Government: In the past Indus River valley they had a government of a chief. He controls everything like the army's. He or she has the most power in the whole Indus River valley.

Architecture: The people of the Indus River valley take time in their structures for extreme building potential. Their building are more advanced today than they were back then but they were very advanced.. They built these structures out of a sort of brick.

Writing : Today the writing of the ancient cities can not be deciphered do to the extreme photos and symbols. They are trying to figure out if they have any meaning or is it just random pictures. There are over 400 symbols in different locations.
