The location of mesoptainia was in mpdern day iraq as well as parts of turkey,syria and iran. In the book it states that ΅mesopatmia included colder mountianious reigons in the north and reedfilled wetleands in the southeast "(Steele^6)
writing Writing on page 12 it said ¨who lived as hunters and nomads did not need written records.¨As cites rose they started to keep records of ownership business and deals.¨It was written by the Mesopotamian, people including Akkadians, Babylonians, and the Assyrians.(Steele 12)

On page 23 it said that ziggurats are a massive terraced platforms made of brick
Also on page 24 it mentioned that a small statue was made for an offering for the moon God. On page 23 the author says " The ziggurats themselves had small temples or shrines on top. (Steele 24)
government :On page 10 it says they control most of the territory. Also on page 10 it says " they enjoy fame and expliots"(Steele 10).
ancient egypt
location On page 8 it said "The Egyptians lived on the back of the nile river."90% of the land was desert and called the red land, but most people lived along the river. Without the silt that fertileized the land there would not have been an Egyptian civilization.(Hart 8)
art On page 48 it says they grow barly and emmer wheat. The author said "ẗhere are also gourds,dates,and cucumbers. It said on page 49 it said they had been eating palm tree fruits for over 3000 years. (hart48)
Religion The Pharoh was supposed to preforn the duties of the high priest in every temple in Egypt. His place was usually taken by the chief priest. In the great temples such as Karnak at Thebes. They have gods who live in temples and they make offerings to the gods. (Hart 28)
architecture On page 28 it says high preists were taken and put into these temples such as karnak. The author said "Pure ones have the responsibility to take care of the temples" Also on page 28 it said pharohs were burried in the temples(hart28).
writing : On page 34 it says ´´Scribes had to be experts in writing hieroglyphics to do the work. The author also said on page 34 "There are 700 different signs". One last thing they said were that the rossette stone was found in 1799 which helped us figure out about hieroglyphisc (hart 34)
government On page 10 it said the king was not only a man but a god. On page 28 the author said "There was an effective training system to make a prince into a pharoh". Also on page 28 it said the queen would be called the great royal.

On page 42 it says ´´ in most chinese homes 3 generations of the same family lived under the same roof´´. The author also says on page 42 that poorer chinese familys slept on mats on the floor. Also on page 42 it says the art on the pillow depicts a wedding. (cotterel 42)

On page 16 it says "In 221 B.C the Chinese empire was formed. Also on page 16 it startes that china got its name from a guy named Qin/Chin. Finally it said that They built an impressive tomb for him. (cotterell 16)
Religion
On page 27 it says "Ancient china is split into 3 ways confucianism,daoisim,and buddhism. Also on page 27 it says china tolerates all religions. It also says Buddhisim is the most populaur relligion. (cottterel 27)
Art(culinary)
It says on page 44 that the chinese kept there food good by drying it in the sun. Also on page 44 it says ¨Tea,or cha has been grown in china since the early B.C¨. Finally it says on page 44 that during tang times tea was sipped from certian bowls.( cotterell 44)
Tech
On page 22 it talks about the invention called the earthquake weatherclock. It measures and moniters info on earth quakes. It also says on page 22 ´´he magnetic compass was an anicent china invention´´. (cotteral 22}
Trading
The author says on page 58 the silk road was created as a trading import and export line. It also says that Most merchants didnt have certain items so most people were forced to use the silk road. Alson page 58 it says it was north of the great wall(cotteral 58)
Writing On page 11 it said often the questions were inscribed on the ORACLE bones. On page 11 it also said "An ox bone or tortoiseshell was scorched until it cracked".It says in the text "the SHANG kings used ORACLE bones to talk to the old sports on important stuff.(cotterell 11)
Indus River Valley
Location
It started in the souhtern part of asia.
One the website it stated that it holds most of modern day afghanastan. Also the website mentioned that this all happened around 5000 years ago.(

In the text it talked about how the priests were on the top of the higherarchy. It also talked about casate system and how karma works. It also mentioned the fact most of them follow hinduisim.

Writing
In the text it stated that 400 symbols were deciphered and found out about. Also it mentioned that most scholars and most people struggle to figure out what most of the text means. It rains a huge issue to rediscover writing from ages ago. (

In the text it mentioned the fact that they have a five level system for there governtment. The brahniman were on the top. The untouchables for them were so bad they wouldnt touch them. The kings/warriors were the 2nd to best people in the higherarchy
