Government: On page 16 it says "He used his subjects as slave laborers to build the great Wall of China. His tomb was guarded by thousands of terracotta warriors. His brief life span of being emperor on earth was harsh. ( cotterell 16)
Commerce (Trade): The book says "Trade Flourished under the Mongol, or Yuan, dynasty.¨ Merchants trade gold and silver. China became rich while trading through the silk road. (Cotterell 58)
Location: :in the passage on page 6 it said.On page six it says that China is the oldest continuous civilization it says that it shares a lot of its physical features like mountains and deserts with each other country like India in the text it states that China was not aware of other parts of the of the world like Asia until 126BC (cotterell 6)

Religion: They had many different religions. The author says "The religion of the ancient Aryans, known as Brahmanism, was polytheistic and heavily influenced the later development of Hinduism.
