Mesopotamia
Location On page 6 sid that flowing southward throughout the middle east were two great rivers. The location of Mesopotamia was in modern day Iraq as well as parts of Turkey, Syria and Iran. In the book it states that "Mesopotamia included cooler mountainous regions in north a reed-filled wetlands in the south east" (Steele 6)
Architecture A ziggurat is a massive terraced platform. The author wrote " A lasting symbol of ancient mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick". It was very large length and with wise. (Steele 24)
Religion On page 14, it said that they worshiped and believed in many Gods and goddesses. In the text its said "The Sumerians worshipped many gods and goddesses. that's shows how it is that. (

Art
Art In the text it said Mesopotamians mastered many art forms from an early point in History. Some arts they did were pottery, jewelry, clothing, brick making, and architecture, and many more. "some time before 3500 BCE, they invented the potters wheel, which made pottery production more efficient".
Writing On page 12 it says The Sumerians made the first language or script. The author says " The Sumerians devised the worlds fist script or writing system". That tells us that they made the first language. They pressed the print into soft clay with a stylus. (Steele 12)
Government
Government: The Akkadian government, established by Sargon of Akkad around 2334 BCE, marked one of the first instances of a centralized authority in Mesopotamia. Sargon implemented a bureaucratic system, delegating power to governors who managed various regions, ensuring loyalty and stability across his empire. The Akkadian administration also emphasized military strength, using a standing army to protect and expand their territories.
Ancient Egypt
Location On page 9 it tells us that egypt was on the banks of Nile. In the text it said "The Egyptians lived on the banks f The Nile River or beside canals extending from it". That proves that they lived By the Nile River. (Hart 8
Art In the passage, it tells us that there was a lot of gold jewelry. In the texts it says " You can see a glint of gold everywhere in Egyptians jewelry mines between the nile river and the red sea coast yielded large quantities of this precious metal".(Hart 56)
Architecture On page 20, it tells us that the pyramids were used for burials. The author wrote "The first pyrimidine was built as the burial place of king Djoser in c. 2650 BCE, by his gifted architect Imhotep (pp.34-35)". That tells us that the the pyramids were for burials. (Hart 20)

Religion On page 24, it said that the worshiped many gods and goddesses, but it was hard to know which one was which . in the text it said " The Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses, and sometimes it s difficult to work out who was who. That tells us that it was difficult to tell who was who. (Hart 24)
Government It the text it said that the Royal court would have the kings and court involved. On page 12 it says "At great state occasions like royal jubilee celebrations or the giving of gifts to favoured courtiers, the king and court gathered together and top official, diplomats and high priests would attend". (Hart 12)
Writing On page 34, it said that the hieroglyphs were very hard but important to writer. The author wrote "hieroglyphs were used on state monuments, temples,tombs and religious papyri. that tells s that it was important. (Hart 34)
Government: The Qin soldiers defeated the last of their enemies. The first emperor thought that they would become immortal. He used his subjects as slave laborers to build the great wall of China. (cotterlle 6)
Religion IN the text it said confucius thought that the early years of Zhou were golden parts of social harmony. It was based off of kindness, respect ad the strength
of family. They also believed that family relationships were supposed to be governed by respect because strong family bonds. (cottrelle 12)
Location
China was first united as a siingle state by the first emporoer. If you look at it from a map it would show the great wall of china around the side china is one of the oldest emproerors. (cotterlle 6)
art : Calligraphy, painting and poetry, were known as the three perfections. The combination of these art, was considered the height of artistic expression. The three perfections were considered one of the greatest accomplishments.

In the text it said, the Shangs kings used the oracle bone. The oracle bones were used to communicate with there ancestors. The bone was placed in a fire, and scorched.

architecture: Some of the worlds greatest inventions came from china.Many of these inventions were traveled along the silk road for trading. Paper and printing were advancing durning this time. (Cotterlle 22)
Trading: Trading grew under the Mongol, or yuan dynasty. The Mongol emperors ruled the silk road atv the time, for a while. They would trade luxury goods, spices, tea, and percilen.
