Ancient China:
Location: In the book it said: The landscape of imperial china was dotted with walled towns and cities. These enclosed urban communities were centers of government and the power of the authorities was reinforced by town planning.
Government: In the book it says that, Soverign Qin Emperor or Qin shi Huangdi. The empire took its name from the Qin ( pronounced chin) to become China.
Religion: Confucius taoism and buhdism. were the most popular religions and they were the main religions in Ancient, China.
art: Many artists of Ancient China were educated scholars, philosophers, and literary creatives. Art of this time is often minimal, featuring bronze work of mythological creatures, elephants, and dragons. Artisans also created works from ceramics, porcelain, painting, metal, calligraphy, jade, and terracotta.
writing: in the text it said that the Shang kings used the Oracle bones. The Oracle bones were used to communicate with their ancestors. The bone was placed in a fire and scorched.(cotteral 11)
Architecture/tech: in the book it said that some of the worlds greatest inventions were created in China. Through out its imperial history, emperors encouraged the development of science and technology.
commerce/trade: in the book it said that Trade flourished under the mongol, or yuan dynasty. The mongol emperors ruled China from 1279 to 1368 and permitted merchants to trade freely throughout their vast empire.
Indus River Valley
Location: Location: Around 5000 years ago A group of people took over the Indus River alluvial plain because of the fertile land a soil. The Indus River valley is now in modern day Pakistan and a bit of afghanistan. In modern 1920 a lot of land mounds and dirt were digged and the archaeologist found the old 4000 year old cities.
