Religion: The author wrote that the Egyptian worshiped many different gods and goddesses, also know as polytheism. Of the many, they mainly worshiped the Sun God, who would be many different forms. goverment: In the text it said that houses in ancient egypt were made by bricks and mud. Plus the mud was made not from the ground after rain. Another thing the text said is "After the house was built, its walls often painted-either with patterns or scenes from nature". (Hart 46)
writing: In the text it said that hieroglyphs were their writing and they didn't want a lot for people to know how to use it. So only Scribes can be experts in writing hieroglyphs. The text also said that "For business contracts, letters, and stories, scribes used a different form of writing (script), called hieratic, which was a fast-written version of hieroglyphs, always running from right to left". (Hart 34)
Arctiecture: In the text it said that the great pyramids were used as a burial place. Plus the pyramids were robbed because of the things inside. Another thing the text said that "Later pyramids contained inscriptions of spells to help the pharaoh in the afterlife". (Hart 20)

Indus River valley
Location: In the text it said that around 5,000 years ago, a civilization developed along the Indus River. It also said that over time, a vast number of settlements were built on the banks of the Indus River and surrounding areas. Another thing is that it said that the Indus River Valley covers most of modern-day Pakistan, the northwestern region of modern-day India, and a small portion of Afghanistan. (history of asia)
