Causes
Older Age
Dehydration
Vasovagal syncope
Medications
Symptoms (Similar to simple fainting, however related to positioning)
Pallor
Emotional upset/anxiety
Nausea
Signs of deterioration
Patient completely loses consciousness
Unstable Vitals
Signs of recovery
Vital signs remain stable
Patient awakens and becomes more alert
PABC Treatment
A & B : Maintain open airway & administering oxygen may assist in recovery
P: Immediately return patient to supine or Trendelenburg if possible
C: Monitor Pulse
**D: If unsure contact EMS
