PARAGRAPH WRITING
It’s a group of related sentences that explain and turn around at a main idea or topic. Paragraphs are usually long between 100 and 180 words. It’s important to connect ideas and sentences together so that the final result would be a concise and clear paragraph

▪ Topic sentence: explain and summarize the main topic or idea that will be discuss in the paragraph
▪ Supporting details: this is the body of the paragraph in which the topic sentence is explained and supported by facts, details and other information.
▪ Closing sentence: the final sentence which repeat the main idea of the paragraph, but with other words.
steps in writing paragraph
▪ Pre-writing phase: phase in which you think and try to understand the ideas to write before actually start writing the paragraph. It’s the moment when you create the draft.
▪ Writing phase: is the moment when you really start writing down the sentences.
▪ Editing phase: when you check for grammar and spelling; and for style and organization
▪ Checklist phase: final check when you make sure that nothing in missing and everything has been written in the correct way, so that the paragraph makes sense and it’s clear and concise.

▪ Precise: using technical vocabulary and definitions
▪ Formal: avoiding contractions and informal words. Using complex words and structured sentences
