- - - - A sound wave movement of energy traveling through a medium such as air or water as it propagates away from the source of the sound.
        
        How are we sensitive to sound? (ear)
        
        Sound enters the ear through the ear canal. The pinna lets us locate the direction and origin of the sound. At the end of the ear canal there is the ear drum. When sound waves hit the ear drum, which is connected to the malleus, incus and stapes that transfer oscillations to the oval window. This covers the opening to the cochlea.
    - - Wavelengths and frequencies affect light
        
        625-740 nm is red, 590-625 nm is orange, 565-590 nm is yellow, 520-565 nm is green, 445-520 nm is blue, 425-445 nm is indigo, and 380-425 nm is violet. Anything more than 740 nm is infrared and anything less that 380 nm is ultraviolet.
      - How are we sensitive to light? (eye)
        
        The lens and cornea help focus light correctly on the retina. When light hits the retina where special cells called photoreceptors turn the light into electrical signals. Cone cells see things in colour but need a lot of light, and rod cells cannot see colour but are very sensitive to light.
