- permissive parenting: fear of losing the love of their children -> when the children are allowed to do anything, they wont learn respect, patiance -> spoiled children are problem for everyone
- single parent family: lack of emotional security, children wont se both role models, financial difficulties
advantage: better financial circumstances, more time and attention
disadvantage: spoiled,difficulty socialising and making friends, feel lonely and isolated, not having learnt how to share

- you cant discuss problems, no face to face communication, share happiness on phone, real life feedback, boredom, lonelyness
- advanced technology, you dont have to write letters, phone usage -> quick, simple
- singles enjoy being single, some think they are not mature enough
- mingles: have a partner but not sharing a home with them, by choice
