Back Control Escape
Defending RNC
-
-
-
When choking arm is locked and cant be peeled away, focus on other arm
If both arms are in, can try peel hand thats behind head, wont be able to peel choking arm, then unwind from there
Other option is to pummel hand in, once wrist is near about face line sorta impossible to get choked, also can pummel arm in by first swimming hand in then elbow second and force two underhooks
Can shrug shoulder and put inside elbow over head, to block gap and stop opp getting to neck
Positioning
-
-
Head higher than opps
Similar concept but with sitting forward, heads and shoulders over hips
-
-
Escape Concepts
Escaping High
-
Choking arm on shoulder stops bridge, can force double underhooks
-
-
Can frame crevice of elbow if they have low underhook, better at keeping opp locked in place
SItting up
Exposes hip, elbow to frame, clear hooks/body triangle
-
Sliding off
Get head in position, lean forward, tuck in and then go back. sometimes on ground so no gap for him to get underneath
-
-
Bridge hip into calf to clear hook, sometimes have circle foot over leg and block their foot
-
Rotating out
Two methods: clearing grips that stop rotating, amplify grips/controls that stops them following you as you rotate
-
-
Clearing hooks
-
Grab foot, pull hook more with knee, kick out and put knee inside hook. push knee down to stop hook recovering
Pushing knee helps lift hips, step on mat lift hips up and face the ground with hips,
Hook behind other leg and extend, bottom knee/leg slips inside gap to escape hips out of hooks
Clearing body triangle
First option
Bridge over so the lock is on the floor, then use hips to apply pressure
Second option
Sometimes when bridging to get lock on floor opp will switch legs, push down on knee of top leg and then when bridging over can intercept and hook that leg as comes high on hip
-
Fourth option
Turn and trap foot - , then third option
Choking arm
-
If over top less effective, still effective at stopping going up
-
Doesnt stop rotation that much, but if elbow in front of shoulder it can slow down rotation
Escapes

Underhook side, bottom hook

Choking arm side, bottom hook

Choking arm up
-
-
Easier to escape, hard to recover for him
