        1990: Melvin grows concerned about the ethical implications of their work and the dangerous mutations being produced. He and Anthony begin to clash.
        
        1990s: The Fall of Genex Labs
        1991: A major accident occurs, leading to uncontrollable plant growth and the spread of mutations. The lab becomes increasingly dangerous and unstable.
        1992: Melvin attempts to shut down the lab, but Anthony, driven by his obsession, refuses. Their friendship deteriorates.
        1993: Melvin continues to work at the lab but is increasingly at odds with Anthony. Experiments on creatures are kept secret to avoid controversy, though occasional sightings by the public occur.
        1994: Melvin reveals the full truth to the public, causing a scandal. The government, which had secretly funded the experiments, classifies all documents and media regarding Genex Labs, Anthony, and Melvin to avoid public outrage.
        1995: During a final experiment, Anthony's body and mind become corrupted, melding him to the lab. This catastrophic event causes the lab to officially shut down and leads to Anthony being locked inside. He gains control over the plant-animal hybrids, directing them to attack any intruders.

        2023: Alex Williams, born in 2001, grows up hearing rumors about the abandoned lab. As a journalist, Alex becomes intrigued by the mystery of Genex Labs and decides to investigate.
        
        2024: The Investigation
        2024: Alex receives a tip about the story of Genex Labs and decides to investigate on his own. He arrives at the overgrown, dilapidated lab. The forest is thick, and the lab is hidden away, giving a sense of isolation and mystery.

        The Breakthrough: Alex finds out about a breakthrough that allowed the manipulation of plant and animal DNA, intended to cure diseases but causing severe mutations.
        The Fallout: Documents and video logs reveal that many test subjects, including animals and possibly humans, were transformed into the plant-animal hybrids now wandering the halls.
        Growing Danger: The hybrids and plant life become more violent and stronger, posing greater threats to Alex.
        
        Chapter 4: The Abandonment
        The Downfall: Evidence shows that the lab was shut down after a major accident caused by an experiment gone wrong, leading to uncontrollable plant growth and the creation of the hybrids.
        The Rift: Alex finds communication logs showing a falling out between Anthony and Melvin. Melvin wanted to report their failures and shut down the lab, but Anthony insisted on continuing.
        Escalating Violence: Hybrids and plant life attacks reach a new level of intensity, challenging Alex's survival skills.

        Anthony's Final Days: Alex discovers Anthony's final log entries. Anthony was driven mad by his grief and obsession, leading to dangerous and reckless experiments.         Melvin’s Last Attempt: A hidden message from Melvin reveals he tried to contain the situation but was ultimately unsuccessful, leading to the lab being overrun by the plant-animal hybrids.

        The True Purpose: It is revealed that the experiments were funded by the government, which classified all documents and media regarding Genex Labs to avoid public outrage.
        The Connection: Alex finds out that his own family has a hidden connection to the lab, possibly being distant relatives of Melvin or victims of the experiments.
        Reanimated Corpses: The decaying bodies Alex encountered earlier are reanimated by Anthony to try to stop Alex.
        
        Chapter 7: The Resolution
        Confronting the Past: Alex faces the consequences of Anthony and Melvin’s actions, potentially encountering plant-human hybrids or other creatures. Alex's goal shifts from uncovering the story to killing Anthony and ending the misery of the creatures in the lab.
        Melvin's Return: Melvin reappears through glitchy television static displaying text with faint words being spoken in the background, providing crucial information and guiding Alex for a short period.
        The Final Showdown: Alex must decide whether to expose the truth to the world, destroy the remaining evidence, or find a way to reverse the damage caused by the experiments. The ultimate confrontation with Anthony, now a monstrous entity melded with the lab, will determine the fate of the hybrids and the legacy of Genex Labs.
