The breadwinner, Portugal Project, event - Coggle Diagram
The breadwinner
Why I enjoyed the book
Based off real and current event
Human rights (woman and children)
I am able to connect to the main character (facing challenges and not giving up)
Rube Goldberg machine
A dominos like project where acting on one end results in something happening elsewhere
Everytime i turned around i would accidentally bump into one part of the machine and the entire system would collapse
Although i had to re-build the machine so many times, i persevered just like pavanna through the challenges and finished the project.
if something was placed incorrectly then the machine would not work as planned
Not a good fairy-tale like ending
Teaches us that we do not always get what we want
Makes the book more realistic as how the world works (trying hard does not always guarantee success)
Book also teaches that although working hard doesn't equal to success, if we keep working hard and never give up we will be able to complete our dreams.
Portugal Project
This is both an achievement and a challenge
Acheivements
Got best in the grade for this presentation
Put lots of effort into the presentation
Sacrificing lunch time to work on this project (voluntarily)
Learn a lot about portugal
Learned about teamwork skills
not about personal wants or needs its about the bigger group
Major strategical change
we realised that the problem was too much ideas in one big prject
We slpit it into smaller compartments and with 4-5 people in each compartment
Language
currency
history
culture
food
Challenges
Big Group means more ideas
More ideas mean that some ideas will clash and cannot come to common understanding
Very rushed and not enough time
event
beginning --> middle --> end (result/output of the incident)
