Definition: Communication is a process which involves exchange of interaction or relaying an expression with the help of words or signs (or)
it is an act of purposefully and actively exchanging information between two or more people to send or receive a message through a shared system of signs and symbols

Clarity- sending specific message at a time
features: clear understanding, clarity of thoughts and ideas, use of simple, appropriate and precise words
Correctness- use of correct language, grammar, data etc.
important to communicate the message clearly
features: timely, exact, correct message; confidence booster; greater impact on audience
Courtesy- shows respect, politeness, judicious behaviour to other party in turn creating goodwill
features: consideration of feelings of audience; positive & focused; unbiased
Concreteness- specific, meaningful and clear; avoids ambiguity, double meaning
features: supports facts, figures; clear and precise; avoids misinterpretation
consideration- audience view points, culture, mind-set, values taken into consideration
features: empathetic, optimistic, stresses on 'you' approach
Completeness- communication should be complete, deliver all facts and information required to send the message to the receiver
features: builds reputation of organsiation; cost saving; removes barriers of vague info; helps in better decision making
