How could you determine the concentration of a specific molecule, ion or active ingredient in a household item?
What is concentration?
What kind of concentrations are there, do they have major differences i.e. when should we use each concentration measurment
Concentration of a solution can be measured by molarity, which shows the solute as an amount of moles per litre in a solution. The mass concentration is measured as a quantity, rather than the amount of an object, which is measured in grams per litre.
Concentration refers to the amount of solute present in a solution. Objects of high concentration contain large amounts of solute. Dilute solutions contains a small amount of solute compared to the volume of solvent. Establishing the concentration of an object determines how much of a solute is dissolved by a solvent, and can provide many benefits, such as calculating the concentration of a pharmaceutical product to provide patients with the correct dosage.
