Strengths
Siargao being a rising tourist destination: Siargao has emerged as a premier tourist destination, renowned for its pristine beaches, world-class surfing spots, and vibrant local culture attracting thousands of visitors annually, contributing significantly to the local economy and boosting infrastructure development.
Airspace Visibility: Sayak Airport’s location has minimal fog and smoke enhancing visibility ideal and crucial for the safety and efficiency of aviation operations, providing pilots with the necessary information to navigate and avoid potential hazards.
Integration of Technology: Provides visual communication to passengers with regards to flight information and enhances convenience in experiences.
Parking lot Rental: Parking lot rental services provide a convenient solution for drivers seeking temporary or long-term parking spaces already made available in the current construction of Sayak Airport.
Government-Owned: Sayak Airport is government-owned crucial for the financial support of its operation and future renovations.
Weakness
Sayak Airport currently has negative reviews (via Google Reviews; Refer to Fig. 2.1, 2.2): According to the reviews of the Sayak Airport, passengers encounter negative experiences in the facility from at par services and amenities.
Current Sayak Airport doesn’t meet the rising passenger capacity: According to the statistics from United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Siargao has an anticipated annual growth rate of 4.4% between 2010 and 2030 which can’t meet the 900 passenger capacity of the current airport.
