Initial coding:Assigning preliminary codes to chunks of data. these can be sentences, phrases or paragraphs. :
Use in-vivo coding:use a participant's own words to create codes.
Reading and re-reading the data from interview transcripts or questionnaires
Use descriptive coding: use brief descriptions to summarise the data.
Step 3: Theme development
Use theme development: Identify overarching themes that capture the essence of the data (e.g., "Emotional Labor", "Workload Management")
Use theme refinement: Refine themes to ensure they are clear, concise, and accurately reflect the data
Identify patterns and connections between codes and categories
