CONCEPT
We use the present perfect to talk about situations that occurred in the past and are relevant to the present.
CONCEPT
we would use he simple past to talk about something that chronologically speaking took place before the moment we findourselves in and it is not likely to happen again.
ESTRUCTURE
Affirmative
: Subject + have/has + past participle*
Negative
: Subject + have/has + not + past participle
Interrogative
: Have/has + subject + past participle

Affirmative
: Subject + verb in past tense

TIME EXPRESSIONS
Already
: We use it in affirmative senteces to indicate that something has happened before now or earlier than expected.
Since
: We use it to indicate the specific point in time at which an action began and continues to the present.
For:
We use it to indicate the duration of an action that began in the past and continues to the present.
Yet
: We use it mainly in negative and interrogative sentences to indicate that an action has not occurred up to the present moment, but is expected to occur at some future time.
TIME EXPRESSIONS:
Yesterday
: we refer to actions that occurred specifically on the day prior to the current day.
Last
: We use it for events that occurred at a specific time in the past.
Ago
: We use it to indicate how much time has elapsed since an action occurred in the past.
