The location of the airport project in the coastline road makes it an easily accessible destination for domestic travelers as it also improves connectivity and strengthen its status as a gateway to Negros Occidental contributing greatly to the region’s economic growth.
DESIGN CONCEPT

The designers associated it as a multitude of passengers that visit the airport reflecting the multitude of cultures and diverse Negrenses embodying the identity of Bacolod City.
They also took inspiration from its renowned MassKara Festival which symbolizes a colorful smiling mask that showcases the spirit of optimism and resilience of its people in this celebration.

BACKGROUND
The Panakáyon Bacolod Domestic Airport aspires to impart efficient overall travel experience to every passenger which instills a positive perception not only of the airport itself but also to the city, which encourages people to visit frequently.
This project intends to provide an improved infrastructure that embraces Bacolod’s local identity, address existing operational issues, stimulate economic growth, and promote long-term development.

To transform Bacolod-Silay Airport into a top domestic gateway that seamlessly integrates contemporary infrastructure, an exceptional passenger experience, and the lively culture of Negros Occidental, therefore stimulating economic growth and fostering a favorable image of the region.
To be a premier domestic airport that connects people, cultures, and economies while also serving as a dynamic showcase of Negros Occidental's legacy and a driver for long-term progress.
TARGET MARKET
The airport targets a wide range of passengers and stakeholders. This airport focuses on domestic travelers in various background.
The Panakayon Bacolod Domestic Airport intends to accommodate an estimated number of 4,000 passengers a day.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The Panakáyon Bacolod Domestic Airport's design philosophy draws inspiration from the city's vibrant spirit, as shown by the popular MassKara Festival. "Power" represents that the airport is more than just a transportation hub; it has the capacity to connect people and instill in passengers the spirit of hope and perseverance inherent in this famous event.
DESIGN RATIONALE
By presenting the airport's distinct identity and culture to visitors it helps to create a positive first impression as this will be the initial point of contact for passengers. The designers are driven to integrate the concept of MassKara in relation to its meaning and inspiration from the symbolic festival celebrated in Bacolod City. It seeks to impart a lively spirit for people, preparing them for a remarkable experience that will leave an impact on their lives.
