After watching The Dark Knight Rises (2012), what are the best reasons for Wayne to prioritize his charitable duties as Bruce Wayne, and what are the best reasons for him to prioritize being Batman?
Batman!
Bruce Wayne!
Wealthy $$$
Fight crime in Gotham
Help fund the city for reconstruction, cleaner energy, better technology, education for schools, medical, etc.
Can donate money to Wayne Foundation, orphanages, aid in hunger and poverty, etc.
Save civilians, reducing death and suffering
Help make Gotham City safer, enhance security
Avenge loss of parents
Be the hero that Gotham needs, a sign of hope
Prevent anyone else from going through that same grief and loss
At the end of The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Batman flies the nuclear bomb away from Gotham City, "sacrificing himself" in the process.
Gotham City is restored from Bane's rule
The overlap (BW and Batman)
Bruce Wayne uses his wealth to pay and/or build the utilities and technologies needed for Batman
He can use his platform (an heir of the Wayne name and business) to endorse the need for better security and other changes he would like to see
In The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Bane obtains BW's fingerprints and authorizes to wipe BW's bank account, making him completely broke.
When Officer Blake arrives at Wayne Manor to talk to BW, he mentions how he used to see BW at his orphanage growing up. Later that day, BW signs a check to donate money back into that same orphanage.
After BW and Batman's (alleged) death, BW states in his will that Wayne Manor will be converted to an orphanage, named after his parents.
At the end of the movie, Batman passes the torch to now Detective Blake, aka Robin, to continue the vigilante heroism for Gotham's future
With BW having connections with the higher class, politicians, business workers etc, he can acquire information about Gotham's hierarchy
This comes in handy when BW figures out that Daggett, one of the chairmen of Wayne Enterprises, is the reason why Bane infiltrated Gotham and Wayne Enterprises
