Making Comparison
When you compare with others it's usually the people who are better than you are more easy to remember which blocks compassion
Comparisons are also considered a form of Judgement which leads to life-alienating communication
Comparing yourself to other people is also bad
You feel miserable when you engage in comparisons
Moralistic Judgements
Life-alienating communication traps us in a world of ideas about rightness and wrongness a world full of judgement
Labeling people with whos good bad ok normal
Moralistic Judgement are ones that puts labels on people dictating the type of person they are
life-alienating communication is the use of moralistic judments that imply wrongness in people who don't act in harmony with our values
EG: The problem with you is that you're too selfish
Eg: She's lazy
Blames, insults, labels criticism and comparison
Other forms of life-alienating communication
Communicating desires as demands is also blocking compassion
