Glands are located throughout the body. The pituitary gland (brain), Thyroid (base of the throat), Ovaries(girls only), Testes (boys only), Pancreas and adrenal gland (by pancreas).

When glucose levels are to high the pancreas releases insulin. This causes the glucose to move to calls and out of the blood. It is then converted to glycogen in the liver and stored.
If the pancreas produced little or no insulin a person will give them selves insulin to help the body to function normally.
