for
use the present perfect tense when we want to talk about how long something has continued.
The thing must have started in the past and still be true now.
use it to ask questions with
how long

with a point in time in the past: 2014, April, Monday, last year.

with a period of time: 2 hours, three years, six months.

generally use
already
with positive sentences.
show surprise that something happened so soon or so early.

with negative sentences and questions
Yet
is used to talk about things that you expect to happen in the future.
generally comes at the end of the sentence.
I haven't done it yet.
often use
just
with the present perfect.
means 'a short time ago'.
They've just arrived
often use the present perfect with 'just / yet / already' but this rule is not 100%.
Present perfect or past simple?
Past simple
habits and states that happened in the past.
'when he was a child'
use a finished time word
'last week' or 'in 2017'
Present perfect
talking about an experience in someone's life and we don’t say exactly when it happened
to ask questions about life experience, often with 'have you ever'.
'have you ever'.
talking about 'how long' for things that started in the past but are
still true now
.
I've worked here for ten years.
