Covenant: This is the promise that was made with Abram. It is the two-way deal where Jews are the chosen people. There are demonstrations like circumcision that demonstrate the one true God should be worshipped.
Garden of Eden: This is the place that God created for Adam and Eve. It is where the tree of knowledge.
Tree of knowledge of good and evil: This is the tree which God forbid Adam and Eve to eat from. It is the first sign of that humans have a mixture of good and evil. It is also the first time that God revealed a plan that was supposed to be followed by humans.
Serpent: A character in the story of Adam and Eve. This creature convinces Eve to take the apple and Adam follows suit. God then punishes the serpent by it crawl on its belly. Originally thought of as the devil, the serpent is now thought of as a representation of temptation.

Eve: The first woman on earth. Took the apple from the tree of knowledge and along with Adam created sins we know today.
Expulsion: When Adam and Eve ate the fruit, they were sent away from the Garden of Eden and set to live a mortal life.

Abram (ham): Made a deal with God that Abram would be the father of a nation if he did what God told him to do. He taught people that there was only one God.

Job: The book of Job describes a man named Job who suffers tragedies and talks about why you must have faith in God and how there will be suffering during existence.
Temple Destruction: The first temple which was built by Solomon was destroyed in 587 BCE in Jerusalem by the Babylonians, They rebuilt another temple in place of the first temple which would later be destroyed as well, but the western wall holds a place in the religion now.
Apocalyptic Prophetic tradition: The image that the world would break down with mountains and seas turning from what we know in order to reset the world and create peace.
Essenes: People who believed that the world was too corrupt for Judaism, so they dropped out. They had apocalyptic beliefs and had strict codes of Jewish law.
Pharisees: Stayed within society and had a belief that Judaism could be brought back by following the holiness code and other Mosaic law.
Sadduccees: The well-off sect of Judaism who adhered to the Roman rule and did not push against the status of the time.
Zealots: People who tried to create change by causing violence against the Roman Empire in hopes of getting them out of Jerusalem.

Early Prophetic Tradition: The belief that a prophet would arise in the world and work as an agent of God to create peace on earth. They are helping the world grow closer to God.

613 commandments: There are positive and negative rules for what someone following the Jewish religion should and should not do. They are more in depth then the general 10 commandments.
The Ten Commandments: These were given to Moses by God for all Jewish people to follow. They served as a basic constitution or charter for Israel to be used in everyday scenarios.

Maimonides 13 Principles: Moses Maimonides was a Jewish philosopher, and he wrote 13 principles which he believed every Jew should follow. This includes belief in God, the Torah, divine reward, and more.
Orthodox: A sect of Judaism where they believe strongly in the Torah because of the escape from Egypt and receiving the Torah at mount Sinai. They adhere to kosher laws and observe Shabbat which includes no working, handling of money, or changing electricity.
Conservative: Seen as a midpoint of between Orthodox and Reform, it is another sect of Judaism. This includes some middle ground like still being able to drive during Shabbat, but only to the Synagogue.
Reform: A sect of Judaism where the focus is more on the ethical tradition rather than obligations of Jewish law.
