Serves as the principal judicial body of the United Nations

All UN member states are parties to the International Court of Justice

Composed of 15 judges, each hailing from a different country

The Trusteeship Council

Mission included advancing political, economic, etc

The Council aimed to safeguard the interests of Trust
Territory inhabitants and promote their welfare

Was tasked with overseeing Trust Territories

The General Assembly

Can make recommendations on global issues such as health, education, etc

Each member state has one vote

The General Assembly includes all UN member states

The Economic and Social Council

Consists of 27 members elected by the General Assembly,
each having one vote

Addresses international economic, social, health, etc

Was established to promote higher standards of living, full
employmen, etc.

The Secretariat

Supports the work of the UN's principal organs and
implements their decisions

Is appointed by the General Assembly

The Secretariat of the UN is led by the Secretary-General,
who serves as its chief administrative officer.
