scenario: quiz time set assignment R70

HGRU wants the resource to allow customers to:

use interaction/layers to choose an answer and be informed whether it is right or wrong

use interaction/layers to move to the next question once the correct answer has been chosen

select a topic that will open at question 1

use interaction/layers to move back to the opening screen after the third question.

select start on the opening screen

Client requirements

4 possible quiz topics (choose one)

Football

Maths

Biology

Planets

You must produce a model prototype of an AR quiz that HGRU customers can use. The model
prototype will allow customers of all age ranges to test their topic knowledge.

The model prototype will be shown to HGRU to demonstrate what the final product could look like and
the functionality it could include.

Each topic has three questions with four possible answers. The user selects the answer that they
think is correct and the app will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Important Advice

Read through all the tasks carefully, so that you know what you will need to do to complete this
assignment.

Look at the marking criteria grids to see how the tasks will be marked. Your teacher can explain
the marking criteria if you need help

You will need to use relevant skills/knowledge/understanding from other units you have studied in
this qualification.

You should consider the purpose of the information resource, the intended audience, the content,
triggers and user interaction/layers.

Task 1 – Designing the Augmented Reality (AR) model prototype

HGRU will use the resource to provide quizzes on different topics. HGRU has provided a requirements document (HGRU_Requirements.Docx) which provides information on how it wants the AR model prototype to function.

You must:

analyse and explain what HGRU wants the information resource to do and who the information
resource is aimed at.

design the resource to make use of AR techniques so that customers can select individual topics
and access related questions

use design tools to design the content and action flow for the information resource

Task 2 – Creating the Augmented Reality (AR) model prototype

You are now required to create the AR model prototype based on the information you gathered and
the design ideas you created in Task 1.

You must:

create the model prototype of the AR information resource you designed in Task 1

use triggers and layers/interaction to produce the information output

Task 3 – Test and review the Augmented Reality (AR) model prototype

Now that you have created the AR model prototype, you will need to test the functionality of the
product and carry out a review of the processes you followed to create it.

You must:

carry out technical testing of the AR model prototype

review the processes you followed to design and create the AR model prototype.
