Mostly isolated cases in Africa occurring in DRC, South Sudan, Uganda, Republic of Congo, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Gabon contributing to the highest numbers of clinical cases.
There were also isolated cases occurring in America, England, Russia, Spain, Italy, and Senegal due to health care aid such as nurses and other health care workers returning home with traces of the disease.
Temporal
Around 30 human outbreaks of Ebola globally between 1976 and 2021, resulted in more than 30,000 reported clinical cases and 12,630 deaths.
