Systemic Causes- hyperthyroidism, hypoglycaemia, pregnancy, Fever, hypovolaemia,

Drugs e.g. vasodilators, antipsychotics
Alcohol, caffeine, cocaine
Management
Current Palpitations
Admission/immediate referral if provoked by exercise, lightheadedness, syncope, SOB, or chest pain

People working at height or dangerous machinery to stop working until diagnosis or condition treated
History of Palpitations

Routine referral cardiology- with chest pain/light-headedness, history of cardiac failure, hypertension, AF/flutter, paroxysmal supraventricular tachy
FBC, LFT, TFT, Hba1c for underlying cause
