The Shadow
If one's shadow goes unexamined, one does not uncover the real nature of one's projections.
If l reflect on my thinking, feelings, or behavior toward others, I may uncover the contents of my shadow
analysis of projection provides one way to discern the contents of one's shadow since one projects the negative qualities within oneself onto other people, groups, or organizations
self-analysis - reorient perceptions of others, learn to "know myself".

Meeting the Shadow
By taking an interest in the individual onto whom we project our shadow we animate our shadow in part.
To become aware of one's shadow means that we must ask why we are so incensed by another's qualities
we do not at first encounter our shadow within our psyche, but projected onto other people
"shadow acceptance" exemplifies the realization that the shadow exists, and that we can avoid projecting it
