mirrors
concave mirror
a concave mirror is a mirror which is bulged towards the inside of the mirror. And if we look at this mirror then we see that the item we put in front of it looks larger . E.g- makeup mirror, shaving mirror.
convex mirror
a convex mirror is a mirror which is bulged toward the outside of the mirror. And if we look at this mirror we see that we will have a wide view of everything. E.g- parking lot mirror, rear view mirrors (of vehicles).
concave lens
a concave lens is a lens which is bulged towards the inside of the lens. The middle of the lens is thin and the top and bottom of the lens is thick. The image formed by the concave lens is always virtual, erect and smaller in size than the object in front of it. E.g- door peephole, binoculars.
convex lense
a convex lens is a lens which is bulged towards the out side of the lens. The middle of the lens is thick and the lop and bottom of the lens is thin. the image formed on a convex lens is larger than the object and more zoomed in. E.g- magnifying glass, microscope.
Refraction
:
Refraction of light takes place in many places, including lenses and prisms.
Refraction of light is one of the most commonly observed phenomena, but other waves like sound waves and water waves also experience refraction.
