Natural selection
Natural selection is one of the basic mechanisms of
evolution, along with mutation, migration, and genetic drift.
VIDA stands for variation, inheritance, differential survival and reproduction, and adaptation.
Individuals in a population or group differ in some trait of interest. In every species there is variation.
Species reproduce more offspring than the environment can support creating competition for resources
