In Italy, gender equality has made serious progress in the last 40 years but, still, men and women have some differences. Women usually have an harder time in finding a job and usually get paid less: but women have equal possibilities in the education system.
Italy is fighting a problem with its society. Italian society is still fighting a problem of misogyny and violence. It's a problem linked also to the inefficiency of the police.
Speaking of politics, Italy has equal rights and possibilities. From 2022 Italy is one of the few nations ruled by a woman premier.
What do they have in equal rights and what isn't equal?
On marriage, yes. In Italy women can marry whoever they want and even choose to divorce.
On suffrage, yes. Women canm vote whoever they prefer.
On maternity, women usually have a period of time in which they can have a baby and live with it but most companies can't afford it.
On work and pay, usually young women have problems finding a job because of their maternity period. And they also get paid less.
