        In 2021Brazil's agricultural exports reached $125 billion, led by soybeans, beef, poultry, and other commodities. Agriculture and food sectors accounted for 29% of Brazil's GDP, valued at $1.8 trillion.
        
        These factors could theoretically alleviate poverty and improve living standards.

      - Cons: However, there are several consequences associated with deforestation in the Amazon. Firstly, it threatens the survival of countless flora and fauna species, many of which are yet to be discovered.
        
        Possible Sequence of Consequences to the Biome:
        
        Deforestation leads to habitat destruction and loss, threatening biodiversity. As large parts of the forest disappear, so do the animals and plants that rely on those habitats for survival.
        
        Soil erosion becomes a problem when vegetation cover disappears. Without tree roots holding the soil together, heavy rains wash away fertile topsoil, making it difficult to sustain long-term agriculture.
        
        Water quality declines as sediment and pollutants enter rivers and streams, harming aquatic life and affecting the peoples access to clean drinking water.
        
        Climate change intensifies due to reduced capacity for carbon sequestration. Forests act as "carbon sinks," absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere. When they're cut down, less CO2 gets absorbed, causing higher greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere.
