Darwin and wallace
Darwin and wallace thought that the main reason animals change is by natural selection. Only the strongest survive. Also if they were to move to a dffierent region of the earth they would adapt to their new location.

whales
Whales in the past had legs but as the adapted to the water they don’t have it anymore. They also evolved by divergent evolution because of the whales living in different parts of the waters.
Super bugs.
Super bugs have variation due to mutation. Some of the superbugs can survive in certain places because of mutation. their mutation can make them immune to certain things trying to fight them off. These mutations can accur naturally or passes through DNA.
Adaptation in superbugs can happen by superbugs adapting to their environment. Obviously. But they can evolve overtime and they can develop their own defense mechanism to help them thrive.
cladograms
The nodes of a cladogram represent common ancestors that evolved a particular physical trait or characteristic. All of the animals that branch off at or after a node share that trait or characteristic (and that common ancestor). The branches of a cladogram show when each animal split off from the main line.

skin color
The farther away from the equator the lighter the skin is. Change in skin color is made by mutations which happens at random and if there is a mutation they will thrive and create others like it.
