When the civil war finished, Oliver Cromwell won. After his death Stuart dinasty took the lead (James II). This led to a new revolt that caused a Revolution.

When James II died, Maria took the lead (his daughter). A new law called Bill of Rights was created which limited the monarchs power.

In England the power of the monarch was controlled by courts and parlyaments. The Stuart dinasty tried to create an absolute monarchy and caused the civil war
