Buddhism does not believe in a God

Both Buddhists and Sikhs believe in Karma and that How you've acted in previous lives have consequences on current ones hense why suffering happens.

Rebirth is a cycle where depending on your actions in one life determines what your reborn as or bad things that may happen.

Three marks of existance

Annica-everything is impermanent Anatta-Humans have no soul
Dukka-all life involves suffering.

The story of Siddhartha gautama

Saw suffering, Left his family, starved himself, found a middle way(enlightenment), taught people about the middle way, achieved Nurvana

Nirvana is escaping the cycle of rebirth.

Sikhs do believe in a god

Mukti is escaping the cycle of rebirth

The four noble truths

1.Every life involves suffering 2.Suffering is caused because we don't accept that everything changes
3.Suffering can end if we don't crave things
4.Following the eightfold path will lead to an end of suffering

One way to escape suffering is by sewa.

:

sewa is just doing good things for the benefit of others

you can do sewa at the gurdwara

The gurdwara is the sikh place of worship

There was ten gurus

the first guru was guru nanak

after the final one, there cam a book which is now the sikh holy book.

Its treated as a human being put to bed and woken up.

He saw suffering, he went to a river to bathe and meditate then dissapeared for days, God told him about equality, He taught people about equality

Someone was given a box and told not to open it, curiosity got the better of her and she opened it, darkness and suffering came out however at the end so did hope.

The guru was giving a speech and asked who wanted to give their life for religion, he took him in a tent and 'chopped his head off'. After this, he asked again and four more people volunteered.After the crown thought they were all dead they all came out and were declared the Khalsa.
