sectionalism is where other parts of America are better than other parts you wouldn't want to plants crops in a cold and dry area and you would want to build a city in a place that would be better for a farm.

the geographical differences between the North and South are the South had great farming land good soil and great weather and the North was good for the industrial side of America because is was cold and the soil was very rocky.
