People buy foods and groceries without appropriate planning when and how the food will be consumed. At times most people are not able to control and forget about the food, leading to expired food which are wasted

. Customers have highly influence purchasing behavioral food items. Consumers behavior focus here is the tendency of having good judgement, resulting in only fresh vegetables and fruits being chosen. Such consumer behavior contributes to food waste as most of the food items may remain on the shelf till expiry.(1)
