Chosen Fear: Nomophobia - "no mobile phone phobia"
What is the goal of this AT2?
To learn how to layout design and use typography
We are to write a 800-word editorial article on your chosen fear
All illustrations and photography are to be your own
The editorial is on a 4 page document (2 spreads)
The specifications depends on your chosen magazine
Since it is to be printed in a magazine, the color mode is CMYK not RGB
My Idea:
My chosen phobia is nomophobia, the Phobia of being without your mobile phone.
I want to create illustrations of someone getting anxious about being away from their phone. Illustrating is my stronger skill set so I will take advantage of that.
When we think of phobias, we think it to be scary and gloomy. But I want to have an opposite approach. I want to make this article about what the phobia is and how someone can help overcome it. Making a nice, positive approach to the subject. I want to add in different contact details of different places for people to seek help if needed. And quite possibly, tips on how to help.
For colors, I want to use colors used on mobile devices. Such as, greys, white, black and blue.
Even for the layout design, I am thinking of doiong a phone screen layout design.
