        Abrasion is where The waves bash against a cliff face and breaks off rocks to then be transported away by the waves.

        Attrition is were the sea picks up material and scrapes it against other material making the rocks smaller and evetually into sand
      - Hydraulic Action
        
        Hydraulic Action is where waves hit the shoreline and pushes air into cracks forcing them outwards

        Solution is where water dissolves some rocks and also dissolves sand and sediment

        Houses Can fall off cliffs. coasts will go away land will retract inwards and cliffs can fall on people
    - - Groins
        
        Groynes are used to prevent longshore drift this also keeps the beach and protects the coast
      - Gabbions
        
        Gabions are cages full of rocks to absorb the water and the waves strength.They are very cheap. But Some of the bad things are they have a short life and they are very unattractive.
      - Rock Amour
        
        They use large boulders to take the impact that the waves power. They last a long time look more natural, blocks access to beach
      - Sea Wall
        
        A Seawall is used to deflect water back into the sea and slows down erosion there are problems with this because it is very expensive. They usually last a lot longer then the rest of the sea defences
      - Beach Regenration
        
        Beach Regeneration is where you Take rocks and sand from another place and you put it on this beach

    - - Backwash is where the water flows down the beach and takes some material with it
