Interviewees understood the importance of turtle conservation and identified major threats such as climate change and plastic waste.
Climate change and plastic pollution were frequently mentioned as the main reasons for the decline in endangered species populations.

Processes
Pollution
The heightened use of plastics in our daily lives has caused pollution in our oceans due to improper disposal. This has caused harm to the turtles.
Invasive species
Many invasive species cause harm to ecosystems and kill native wildlife. Turtles will inevitably be affected adversely by invasive species as well (barnacles, etc.)
People
Locals
By bringing awareness to locals (especially those living near coastal areas), many people, especially the younger generation, will start to be more careful of how they dispose their rubbish.
MNCs
As a large contributor to waste, they should find effective ways to reduce the pollution that they cause substantially
