Evolution - Coggle Diagram
Evolution
Types of natural selection
Disruptive- goes to both ends
Stable- It stays in the middle
Directional- shifts to one side
Genetic Drift
Fluctuation of genes
An event wipes out most of the animals causing only some to survive
A small population of a species leaves and evolves
Types of Evolution
Co-Evolution - 2 species evolve based on the relationship between them
Convergent- different ancestor but similar manners
Divergent- same ancestor evolves into different species
Micro vs Macro
Mirco is more small changes to the population but they are still the same species
Marco is when the species changes to a very different and completely different one
Non Random Mating
Causes a population to look more similar with similar genes
Gene Flow
Movement of genes from one population to another
VIDA Table
Used to see the evolution of a species change the fitness of the species
Cladograms
Diagrams that show what traits each animal has and their relationship to each other
Mutation
Environmental factors change the DNA of the animals
Natural Selection
Environmental pressures that cause changes in the population
