Computer-Aided Design(CAD)
Isometric Axes
the three axes shown (in blue, red and green) are 120° apart.
In isometric drawing, the vertical lines will also stay vertical.
Autodesk Fusion 360
WHAT?
is a cloud-based 3D modeling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform for product design and manufacturing. Some benefits of Fusion 360 include:
Engineer precision for all workflows: Reduce the impact of design and engineering changes with centralized collaboration and simulations.
Push the limits with 3D modeling: Design and make products with parametric, freeform, direct, and surface 3D modeling tools.
Go from design to manufacture faster: Import and edit designs with CAD data translators for 50+ file types using integrated CAD/CAM.

Interface
Workspace Selection
There are various workspaces in Fusion 360. You can click on this button to toggle between various workspaces.
In this lesson, we will use the 'Design' workspace to create 3D models, and we will use the 'Drawing' workspace to create 2D drawings.
Help and Profile
On the top right of the screen, you have the 'Help' button. You can also click on 'Profile' icon to change your preferences.
Application Bar
a)Data Panel(the icon with 9 squares)
b) File Menu
c) Save
d) Undo and Redo
Data Panel
From the From the "Data" tab, you can access project and design files.
You can collaborate with others using the "People" tab.
The Data Panel allows you to access teams and projects.
Toolbar
The toolbar contains various tools which you will use in the workspace. These tools are logically grouped based on their related usage.
ViewCube
Click and dragging this ViewCube allows you to view your 3D model from different views.
Browser
The browser list all the various parts in your design, and allows you to toggle the visibility of each part.
Marking Menu
The Marking Menu appears when you right-click within the grid. The Marking Menu contains frequently used commands and additional commands.
Navigation Bar
There are various buttons such as Orbit, Pan, Zoom, and Display Settings on the Navigation Bar.
Timeline
The Timeline keeps track of every operation performed in the design. There is also a playback button to show how the part was designed.
mouse controls
Pan
Click and hold scrollbar and drag mouse left/right to pan
Orbit
Press'shift'key+click and hold scrollbar and drag mouse to orbit
