Social equity is fair distribution of resources, opportunities, and privileges in society. When we talk about sustainability most people think about the earthly meaning, where-as social equity reminds us that sustainability is not just about the planet, but also about the people living in it.

Conservation of resources, this theme focuses on persevering and using natural resources such as water, forests, and minerals to ensure the certainty of future generations.

The Climate change Mitigation, theme focuses on reduced greenhouse emissions and less toxic environment.

Environmental protection is actions that are taken to safeguard and preserve the natural environment, some examples of environmental protection in sustainability are reducing greenhouse emissions, and conserving and protecting natural habitats and biodiversity.
