(Sub-topic) Reptile Homes
Concept: Setting up a habitat in the school garden for the reptiles that live in the school garden.
Class activity: there are many lizards running around in the school and they are getting trampled by the children in the school during breaktime. The Grade R's will come up with a solution to help the lizards. They are going to make a habitat in the school garden for the lizards and worms to live. The learners will collect sand, sticks, stones, leaves and flowers and place them in a box and spray water to make it damp inside for the reptiles. Jordyn. 2021.

Concept: Reduce, reuse, recycle. The learners will walk around the school grounds and pick up all the littering's.
Class Activity: The learners will learners will look for a place in the school garden that is quiet and has direct sunlight for the reptiles, the learners will collect sticks to make a barrier around that area to prevent trespassers from entering the "habitat" of the reptiles. They will first draw how they will barricade the spot then collect their materials. Amphibian and Reptile Conservation. 2009.

We will catch a few safely and treat them with care, all the learners will have the opportunity to touch and see the learners. I will ask them first to predict the texture of the lizards skin.
Class Activity: I will give the learners play dough and ask them to make a snake and use the craft materials to make patterns.
