Levels of government and their responsibilities.
Federal
Federal do things like international ,postal, service, banking,citizenship, money , local police, immigration,and many more things .
These are some examples of Federal responsibilities.
Citizenship and passports.
Criminal law.
Currency.
Federal taxes.
Fisheries.
Foreign affairs and international trade.
Indigenous lands and rights.
National defence.
The federal government takes responsibility for the whole country and matters of national concern, such as the armed forces, international relations and trade with other countries, currency, fisheries and oceans, criminal law and public safety.
Provincial ::: The provincial or territorial governments, like the Government of Alberta , have the authority to make decisions which affect the entire province or territory, but not the rest of Canada.
Municipal government:::...The municipal government receives its power from the provincial government. The city or town council decides on by-laws that deal with issues concerning their community such as public parks, libraries, social services, local police and fire services, garbage removal, recycling, and public transportation.
Responsibilities:
Strategic land use.
Subdivision and condominium approval.
Maintenance of the local roads, including snow removal.
Library services.
Fire services.
Animal services and municipal law enforcement.
