      - muhammed grew up in mecca, often went o cave to mediate and pray. on the nigh of power angle jibril appeared to Muhammed 0 age 40) whilst he was meditating in a cave in Mount Hira as he would often leave mecca because of the shocking things he was seeing and because many people were worshipping lots of different idols. jibril commanded muhammed to recite, muhammed could not read or write, illiterate , could reveal all of this info. jibril took him to speak to prophets and saw signs of God, in heaven Muhammed agreed with God that muslims should pray 5 times day, sunni muslims still follow this was qur'an was combined together revealed to him over 23 years
        
        first went to mecca to preach his message but the message of Qurah was rejected there and his life in danger to he escaped to Medina and was welcomed and became political and religious leader. set up belief stem of 5 pillars and community rules, this was the first muslim community. After the lost of people joined he returned to mecca and setup the ka'aba for worship of allah alone
      - importance of muhammed - God chose to reveal Qur'an to him. he is the founder of islamic religion. and received quran from god which is the basis of their faith. the perfect example for muslims to inspire to be like. he started islamic practices and rituals, like prayer.angel jibril taught him how to prayer and he taught others shows his importance as every muslim across the world prays. showed many qualities that muslims would serve well in their lives today - patience, determination, courage, rejected immorality and showed duty to God to his community - creator of first community. -emphasise oneness of community, unite muslims together, tahwid (umam). his words made him a great teacher and he lived the life he preached, he is a role model, he spoke with authority directly from God and influenced others to follow his teachings, he created rules which benefited everyone and allows religious freedom, caring for others - zakah
    - - why is ibrahim important- he showed great faith in god adam trusted him when those around him followed many different idols. he fulfilled all the test and commands given to him by god, he is a good role model for muslims, muhammed was one of his descendants through his son ismail.
      - he believed in one true god and rejected idea of more than oneidol gods and statues, he went and destroyed all of the statues he preached this but he was rejected. god sent a miracle to save him when he was thrown into a huge fire but the fire only burned his chains and he walked out alive. when people threatened to burn him because of his monotheistic beliefs.
      - god tested him by asking him to sacrifice his son ismail ibrahim was willing, so god was pleased and sent a ram fro sacrifice instead - he is an exemplar of faith - surah 37.
      - link to id ul adha. remembers ibrahims willingness to sacrifce his son when god asked him too. surah 37. reminds muslims the tests of faith faces by ibrahim and how they should apply this to their own lives, as well as the mercy shown by god. signifies end of hajj. muslims sacrifice and animal to remember his willingness out of obedience to god

      - ' who could be better in religion than those who direct themselves wholly to god, do good and follow the religion of Ibrahim, god took him on as a friend'
    - - exemplar of stewardship ( khalifah). first prophet and human to be created. he is the father of human kind, he built original ka'aba. and taught that the next life ( akirah ) is eternal . he teaches muslims to look after and care for gods creation. he was given hawwa for company. but they disobeyed god, failed test from iblis and banished to earth instead of living in eden,. they asked for forgiveness and god was merciful - adam taught people about god. he did wrong but repented and was forgiven
      - revison guide story - god created A from the dust in the ground and breathed life into him. god gave A knowledge and understand doing and he taught adam the names of all things. god told the angles to bow down to adam out of respectof his knowledge. ibllis refused to bow down to adam. so god threw him out o the garden and iblis vowed to always tempt humans to sin against god. god created hawwa to keep A company and they lived together in garden of liss. god told A and H they could eat anything in the garden expect for the fruit from the forbidden tree, iblis deceived A and H into eating this forbidden fruit, god banned a and h from their garden and their actions bought sin into the world. god forgave adam after he acceped his mistakes and he became first prophet.
      - Adam is important to muslims because god gave him knowledge and understanding, god taught adam how to live a good life in obedience to god and adam passed on this knowledge to the rest of mankind through his descendants
      - ' one of the signs is that he created you from dust and lo and behold he was scattered far and wide'
