Should students fail a grade if they fail all their subjects in school?(yes)
Thesis
Students should fail a grade if they fail all of their core subjects because they will not know how to do even harder things in the next grade, it will be difficult for them to use the skills in real life if they don't know how to do it, and it would be hard for them to find a real job in real life if they can't do anything.
Hook
Did you know that the average literacy rate in America is only 79%?
Did you know that 54% of adults in America can only read a literacy under grade 6 level?
Did you know many americans don't even read 1 book a year?
Specialized Information
Students in America have an average of only a 3.00 GPA which is only 83-86% in grades which would not get you a great job.
The minimum score for the acceptance into the University of Calgary is at least 50%, so if people fail everything they couldn't even make it into an University.
HIstory and Background
The first school was called the Boston Latin School in America.
The first school in Canada was called The College des Jesuites and it was established in 1635.
The first American schools opened in the Thirteen Colonies in the 17th century.
1st Main Argument (They will not know how to do harder things in the next grade.)
If a student failed math because they were bad at multiplication, they would fail the next grade as well because they would be doing harder mulptiplication.
If students failed LA because they couldn't write an essay, then they would fail next year because they would write more complicated things and eventually, they will fail the PAT in Grade 9 because they can't write.
If students kept on failing every single subject they would eventually fail their diploma and not be able to get into an university.
2nd Main Argument(It will be difficult for them to apply the skills in real life if they don't know how to do it)
If a student failed LA because they couldn't complete any reading comprehension and failed all of it because they can't read, they would not be able to read instructions in real life by themselves.
If a student ever tried to bake a cake for their girlfriend on Valentine's Day, they would need to measure things to get the exact ratio for a good cake, but they would not measure it properly if they didn't know how to do math and they might get dumped by their girlfriend.
If a student ever wanted to get a girlfriend and if he tried to impress her with his knowledge, he would not be able to impress a girlfriend
Main Argument #3 (It would be hard for them to find a job in real life if they don't know how to do anything.)
If a student wanted a summer job as a cashier, he would at least need to know basic math and coins so he would know how much change to give and how to do basic calculations.
If a student ever wanted to be a accountant they would need to be very good at math to get a job, but if they always failed math in each grade, they would never be able to be an accountant.
If a student ever needed to write a resume, but he failed LA so he wouldn't be able to write a resume and it would be hard for him to get a job if he can't write a resume.
