Mise en Scene
Bathroom setting is entirely organised. Shampoo bottles are positioned at perfect angles and are perfectly positioned in the setting, towels are perfectly folded and positioned also. This should be used to represent the sense of control that the character desires in his life.

Props: Rubber Ducky
Demon in the bathroom will take the form of a rubber ducky in order to present itself inside the bathroom with the protagonist

Costuming: Protagonist will wear semi-formal attire as he is expected at his partner's award ceremony.
Setting - Formal bathroom, pristine, overclean and polished.

By allowing for subtle diegetic sound effects to be more audible than usual, it can further emphasise the claustrophobic events of the story.
Use of editing - rapid quick cut editing can provide a frantic tone to the film and can convey the panic of the protagonist and reflect their mental state.
Narrative Elements
Multiple storylines
Plot A: Protagonist gets locked inside his bathroom by a sinister entity and desperately tries to escape.
Plot B (very minor story): Protagonist must attempt to prove to his girlfriend that he still cares for her by attending her award presentation.
This B Plot forms a relationship with A plot as the protagonist must desperately escape the bathroom in order to meet with his girlfriend at her award ceremony. B Plot provides stakes and suspense for how Plot A acts out. events of Plot A will impact the resolution to Plot B (cause and effect relationship)
Opening scene - establishment of setting as moody, dark, atmospheric, potentially dangerous. Conveyed through shadows, blue tones in the scene and slow moving tracking shots.
Narrative Conventions

Establishment/Development/Resolution - Protagonist needs to overcome obstacles in order to prove himself to his girlfriend.
Protagonist is insecure within his relationship and feels a need to prove himself to not only his partner, but to himself.
Point of View - entirety of the narrative will be framed through the perspective of the protagonist.
Plot twist can be incorporated into the product to make shock audiences and to make them think differently towards the prior narrative.

Dutch angles are a convention of horror films and can be used to disorientate audiences and evoke tension.
Dutch angles could also reflect the mental state of the character - touching into traits of the psychological thriller genre.
